Alva is a visual artist working with art education and community projects.
 
In the summer of 2022 and 2023, she worked as an art teacher for Malmö Kulturskola's mobile project "Kulturskolan på hjul," (Culture on wheels) which brought art activities to marginalized areas in Malmö. 
 
Her past roles include project management at Galleri Syster, where she developed and led activities for art-interested youth in Norrbotten.
 
Alva has participated in various art exhibitions, including the Råneåbiennalen, Breadfield Studio Malmö, and the Malmö Artist's Book Biennial. She has also contributed to mural projects and collaborative art initiatives.
 
Currently, Alva is pursuing further studies in visual arts at Umeå University and lives and works in Malmö.

Welcome to the summer's creation at Havremagasinet! For 6 weeks from June 26 to August 3, we are creating a miniature museum with the theme of HOME. The workshop will be led by the art pedagogue in residence, Alva Höggren together with Havremagasinet's art pedagogue Lotta Enström. It will be an exciting summer where we will work with different materials and techniques to create a collective miniature museum together. What exactly is a home? Can a home be a feeling? Come to Havremagasinet and explore with us! The activity is drop-in and intended for the whole family: a great opportunity to create together, across generational boundaries! Price: Adults only pay for entry (50 kroner) and children and young people participate for free!
